The original popular unwooded WA Chardonnay, alongside Goundrey, this has always been a pretty solid example of the genre. That genre, unwooded Chardonnay, has all but faded from popularity in recent years, but this wine still does the job soundly.
Clean white peach fruit, no oak, not a heap of flavour either but clean and pleasant. Did I say white peach? It has plenty. Slightly raw acidity to finish but at least it keeps things tight.
Fair enough.
Drink: 2013-2014
