Sourced from the Ahrens vineyard in the Eden Valley, and looking perfectly composed at 10.5% alcohol (with a smidgen of residual sugar I’m guessing). That’s a sure sign of a happy vineyard, and it shows in this wine.
What is most attractive here is the acidity – lightly spritzy and blistering in its natural power. A refreshing, limey, genuine acidity. The palate is long and powerful, the slight softness of a little residual sugar just helping the drinkability.
Lovely, unforced Riesling of some purity. Good stuff.
