Two interesting things to note about this wine. Firstly, the bottle – it’s light. Thoughtful. The regional designation too is Adelaide, a super zone incorporating just about every region within cooee of Adelaide. I like it.

This is slurpable too. It smells of cranberry juice, spice, purple berry fruit and currants. Has some of the fruit concentrate sweetness of 2011 over crunchy, typical-for-the-vintage acidity.

Affable, simple, somewhat sweet-and-sour but good for the price.

Drink: 2013-2014
Score: 15.5/20 85/100
Would I buy it? Not quite.
