Taltarni T Series Chardonnay Pinot Noir NV

Taltarni T Series Chardonnay Pinot Noir (Multi Regional)
12.5%, Diam, $17

The cheapie in the Taltarni range, but by no means nasty. In fact, you could do much worse for under $20.

A broad, Chardonnay driven style, this is propped up with dosage to lengthen the palate, before finishing much more acid driven and clean

Respectable cheap bubbles if just a bit light on to satisfy.

Would I buy it? Not quite.

  1. Knew I was way overdue for a visit to your site AG, good content, nicely written and I enjoy the relaxed, unpretentious yet assured style. Was in the local independent an hour ago with that eternal quandry of 'what cheapie to give my wife to take to a girls arvo with the neighbours who drink only savvy or 'Pink' bubbles' and decided on this. Would normally go NZ Deutz NV or a Cremant d'Alsace but options were limited, so enjoying the timing of seeing your review. Good to say hello at Rootstock, and you know you're always welcome at any Grape Mates event! Haven't seen you since the Spanish tasting, been too long. A couple of total cycling nuts amongst us now as well, no shortage of wheel and gearshift convos…

    Cheers
