Tulloch Vineyard Selection Shiraz 2011

Tulloch Vineyard Selection Shiraz 2011 (Hunter Valley, NSW)
13.4$, Screwcap, $18

Another brilliant 2011 Hunter Shiraz, this time at an excellent price.

The appeal here is that purple fruit – deliciously pretty and juicy, yet still with enough of the guttural meatiness that you want, topped off with plenty of acidity. Authentic, regional and well made, this is a very easy recommendation for anyone who loves the juicy/meaty/sweet fruited/but less sweet than you think Hunter Shiraz style. Probably too simple to be great but like like like.

Would I buy it? I’d share a bottle for sure.
