Bimbadgen Estate Hunter Valley Viognier 2014
The full, broadness of Viognier in full bloom here. I’m hardly a fan of the V weed (Condrieu aside) but this is at least juicy and varietal.
Peach, apricot and a little honey. All fruit, some alcohol burn. Joyous fruit and good length. Plenty to like, if something of a simple style. Varietal Viognier done good.
Details: 13.5%, Screwcap, $24
Source: Sample, tasted Feb ’15
Best drinking: 2015-2018
Score: 17/20, 90/100
Would I buy it? Maybe a glass or two. Perhaps even three.
