Ra Nui Marlborough Pinot Gris 2014

Ra Nui Marlborough Pinot Gris 2014

Imported by Tyrrell’s.

Green straw. Succulent, musky nose though with a lean and reductive edge. Palate is sufficiently phenolic, loaded up with C02 and dry to finish but lacks the fruit weight for the serious phenolics.

Safe, varietal, fresh but boring, this could be so much more than just ‘not bad’. Drink: 2015-2017. 16.5/20, 88/100

Details: 13.2%, Screwcap, $27, Sample
Would I buy it? Not quite.
