Tscharke Matching Socks Touriga 2014

Smart wine and very good value. Touriga has legs in the Barossa, even though there is bugger all planted.

Very dark purple, this smells more of Marananga than Touriga, with an open, squishy berry fruitiness. Plump palate has berry fruits, a warm heart and that tart freshness keeping things in check. Love the blood plum juiciness, it’s perhaps a little light and fruit-sweet, but that bitter finish makes for a quite satisfying early drinker. Drink: 2015-2021. 17/20, 90/100

Details: 13.5%, Screwcap, $20, Sample
Would I buy it? I’d drink a few glasses of this for sure.
