Chapel Hill The Parson Grenache Shiraz Mourvedre 2015

The Wine Formerly Known As Parsons Nose. This is exactly what you’d want in an inexpensive South Aussie red too.

Chapel Hill The Parson Grenache Shiraz Mourvedre 2015

Bright, juicy, primary purple fruit, a hint of nuts and caramel (old oak?) before a warm, gentle finish. Lots of fruit, lots of simple fun and it packs a punch of spicy flavour too. Pulls up just a little short on the warmish finish, but don’t let that deter you – still an awful lot of wine for the price. Easy recommendation.

Best drinking: 2016-2021. 16.8/20, 89/100. 14.5%, $16. Would I buy it? For $16 you’d definitely go some of this.
