Sunshine Creek Yarra Valley Pinot Noir 2015
A traditionally structured, if slightly old school (complete with cork seal) Yarra Pinot with plenty of flavour. Glacé cherry nose, the full and extractive palate has broad, vanilla bean oak brush strokes and a surprisingly firm finish. It’s a grown up red, a stout Pinot, one for drinking in years to come, maybe a bit too ‘dry red in a Pinot form’ but this has body and depth.
Best drinking: Better next year and will go for up to ten years. This could live. 17.7/20, 92/100. 13.5%, $45. Would I buy it? A glass or two.
