Millon Estate The Royal GSM 2017

Every time I see Millon Estate I write Million Estate…. This is a tick up on the Shiraz, if also a little syrupy. 12 months in new and used French oak. Round red Grenache fruit is the star here – red raspberry fruit, with almost glacé fruits. It’s sweet fruited and concentrated, a little warm and simple, but lots of flavour. Would be a fair buy at $25-$30, but not quite at the $45 level. Best drinking: Now to ten years. 17.5/20, 91/100. 14%, $45. Would I buy  it? Not really.
