Review: Full Moon Double Barrel Grenache Shiraz Mourvedre 2018

Mark this red down in the ‘what is this’ file.

From somewhere in SA, though where exactly i’m not sure. Slightly bitter, oak etched but not quality oak, the fruit sweet through the middle but coffeed oak dominates things and the finish is a bit wierd. It’s ok, but misses the cohesion of acid fruit and tannins to be delicious. Let’s hope this is cheap.

Best drinking: nowisb. 13.9%, $?. 16/20, 87/100. Would I buy it? No.

  1. Is it definitely SA? Comes from Andrew Peace Wines?

and looks a bit pricey for your description.

    1. Says SA on the bottle so lets go with that. I can’t justify the price at all…
