Review: Susuro Friuliano 2019

Notch this up as another interesting Susuro release. Friuliano, from the Mornington Peninsula, that appears to be barrel matured but the tasting notes thing is a bit ambiguous. Golden yellow, there’s this lovely yellow peach fleshy width here, all peaches and apples. It stops short of being flabby too, just broadly generous, the style a wine of textural width and joy.

Friuli comes to town, and I like.

Best drinking: now. It’s not going to get better. 17.7/20, 92/100. 12%, $39. Susuro website. Would I buy it? A glass over dinner thanks.
