Chalk this Clover Hill Tasmanian Cuvée Rose NV as another victory.
It’s a well balanced Tassie pink that feels very grown-up. Mouth-filling generosity, the palate fresh if just a little bit sweet, with a pink fruit presence and some leesy richness. Better than many lean NV Champagne, though doesn’t have the acidity for that matter. Entirely drinkable fizz regardless. Best drinking: now. 17.5/20, 91/100. 12.5%, $34. Would I buy it? Well worth a few glasses.
