Pewsey Vale Riesling 2021

Review: Pewsey Vale Riesling 2021

Too young, come back later in the year. That was my vibe with this Pewsey Vale Riesling 2021.

It’s a spritzy, spritely Eden Valley Riesling. Classic regionality but it feels a bit washed out this vintage – it’s all grapefruit acidity, without the fruit ripeness to really drive it along. Classic lines though. Long term lines. A bit ungenerous now? Don’t get me wrong, it’s still good wine, but that plus sign is very important.

Pewsey Vale Riesling 2021. Best drinking: From Christmas time. Then it will live until the end of time. 17.5/20, 91/100+. 12%, $26. Pewsey Vale website. Would I buy it? A glass now, more early 2022.
