Tim Smith Wines Riesling 2021

Review: Tim Smith’s simply delicious Riesling 2021

Tim Smith’s signature Eden Valley Riesling is typically a charming wine, but this Tim Smith Wines Riesling 2021 s one of his best iterations in many years.

I wonder if a brand new winery (opened in between lockdowns last year) has helped the definition along? This shiny new Rizza has an extra vivacity this vintage, the brown lime, grapefruit and typically natural acidity making this a perfect drink already. You could empty tumblers of this and enjoy the refreshment, or pour into a decent glass and admire the lines, and the finish doesn’t feel hard in any way.

Delicious, springtime flavour in a glass. Affordable tumbler drinking too!

Tim Smith Wines Riesling 2021. Best drinking: I like it best right now. But hey, it will live for decades if you want to lock it away. 18.5/20, 94/100. 11.5%, $28. Tim Smith Wines website. Would I buy it? Definitely.
