Tim Smith Wines Rosé 2022

Tim Smith Wines Rosé 2022

While it doesn’t hit the same heights as the first release, this Tim Smith Wines Barossa Rosé 2022 is entirely drinkable.

Barossan Mataro fruite, crafted using barrels and tank for fermentation, it’s another Bandol-inspired number. More orange than pink, it’s a smidgen earthen to start, then a clean, crisp, bone-dry palate of pale pink fruits and acidity. It’s firm, with some of that ferrous Mataro thing through nose and palate, refreshing if a little less generous this year.

Best drinking: now. 17/20, 90/100. 12.5%, $30. Tim Smith Wines website. Would I buy it? A glass.
