Review: Castle Rock Estate Skywalk Riesling 2022

Skywalk is named after the tourist attraction perched above the Castle Rock vineyard on the Rock itself. Worth a walk up to the top if you’re down the bottom of WA, too – awesome views all the way to the coast.

While Skywalk is theoretically the more approachable Castle Rock Riesling, this 2022 is almost too crunchy. Lithe, lean, driven by grapefruit citrus, and lemongrass with an early picked super freshness. It’s not hard or unripe and lovely vibrancy, but gee, it’s tangy – a smidgen early picked? Still so much to like (and very well-priced).
