No preamble; just drink it. That’s the message with this Pewsey Vale Estate Riesling 2022, which captures everything good and great about Eden Valley Riesling in a cool year.

Pure lime juice and lemongrass, some sort of slatey stony chalk thing, a bit of white pepper, but still ripe fruit to counter that taut backbone! So refreshing. Eden Valley plus. I want to drink it immediately. Maybe not super intense, but that acid/lime juice balance is a delight. Given the availability of this, it’s astounding value given that I found it in two minutes of Googling for under $20. Yes, yes, yes.
