Juxtaposed Fiano 2022

Juxtaposed Fiano 2022

Wes Pearson’s Fiano is a reminder that this grape is one of the Mediterranean varieties that can really do with a bit of work in the winery. Barrel ferments, tank ferments here, with both wild and inoculated yeasts too – a winemaker’s smorgasbord! There’s a whole fruit bowl of flavour in the Juxtaposed Fiano 2022, with lemon and tangerine honeysuckle juiciness with great tang and intensity. A citrus surprise! Full enough, with enough acidity to be fresh and the intensity to convert. This might be the best Juxtaposed Fiano yet.

Best drinking: I like it soonish. No hurry. 18/20, 93/100. 12.8%, $33. Juxtaposed website. Would I buy it? Worth it.

  1. Bought the 2020 Fiano in a mixed bag from Wes – I was quite impressed as I’m not a Fiano fan normally.
Might have to try the 2022
