Riposte The Katana Chardonnay 2022

Riposte The Katana Chardonnay 2022

Named after a Japanese sword, but nothing cutting about this approachable and well-priced Riposte The Katana Chardonnay 2022. Plenty of golden sunshine is the game here, with vanilla icing sugar and peach juice with a shedload of intensity for a wine that is out there in retail land for $26 a bottle. It’s somewhat diffuse and round on the palate but, again, great peachy intensity. An Adelaide Hills Chardonnay bargain.

Best drinking: soonish. 17.5/20, 91/100. 13%, $28.99. Riposte website. Would I buy it? A few glasses.
