Terre à Terre Down to Earth Sauvignon Blanc 2022

Review: Terre à Terre Down to Earth Sauvignon Blanc 2022

Much like its big brother, this is in good form for 2022. Again, handpicked Wrattonbully Sauv, fermented in tank and large French oak, matured for seven months on lees.

Pristine stonefruit and green melon – it’s not as long or layered as the $50 big boy, but juicier. A crisp but not harsh palate that is fresh and passionfruity, but with layers underneath. More Sancerre-esque than its Bordeaux Blanc brother (just for the cliched comparisons) and again very good drinking.

    THE VERDICT

  • Best drinking: Nowish. No hurry though.
  • Score (out of 20): 17.7
  • Score (out of 100): 92
  • Alcohol %: 13.5
  • RRP (in $AUD): 32
  • Winery website: https://www.terreaterre.com.au/
  • Would I buy it?: Worth two glasses
