Curly Flat Chardonnay 2022

Review: Curly Flat Chardonnay 2022. Delicious and bound to get better

Ahh, the lovely expression of a Curly Flat Chardonnay. Yeah, this style of Macedon Ranges Chardonnay is very much my wheelhouse, even if the last vintage looked too taut. This 2022 is a wonder, even if it needs more time in bottle. The expressive butterscotch and whipped butter overt character of the nose belies a long and taut palate of filigreed finesse. It’s golden but taut, perhaps a little light for the butterscotch edges, but delicacy and flavour are otherwise fighting a war with no losers. Rather delicious Australian Chardonnay, with layers for days.
