Promise aplenty in this Southwood lineup of Tassie Pinot, drawing in fruit from growers until the estate vines get up to speed. This Southwood Glenora Pinot Noir 2022 is Derwent Valley fruit, with Blackberry coulis and raspberry fruit, plus berries and mulch with refreshing acidity. Yes, this feels proper and right, in a way that Tasmania – the Pinot promised land – does so well. It just needs a little tannins and depth for more flavour. Plenty delicious now though.
