Rowlee Single Vineyard Orange Riesling 2023

Review: Rowlee Single Vineyard Orange Riesling 2023

Could Riesling be great in Orange? Bloodwood has been making quality Rizza for decades, so maybe that’s a moot point. But hey, let’s use muse on what grapes Orange does well, and whether there could be more very drinkable Riesling wines like the Rowlee in the mix.

Off dry, but only just, and in the right sort of juicy way. Orange blossom aromatics, a little peach, then a palate of stonefruit with some of that fruit concentrate richness to balance the firm citrus acidity. Really nice.

Highland Heritage in Orange have been recently making some cracking Riesling, both dry and off dry

    1. Second the Highland Heritage sweet wines. They’re enjoyable.
