Western Australian Riesling is so good in its youth that keeping them as a mature release seems like a waste of fruity energy. That’s my hill and I’m dying on it. This mature-release, six-year-old wine is pretty tasty, though. Waxy lemon fruit, lemon balm, a little hay, lots of lemon and quite forward. It falls away a little after the mid palate, but then it’s sneaky long through the finish. Enjoyable, tangy, and with solid intensity, it’s a nice wine (but I maintain that it would have been even more delicious in late 2018/early to mid-2019).
