Terre à Terre Crayères Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc 2023

Review: Terre à Terre Crayères Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc 2023

Xavier Bizot & Lucy Croser’s Crayères Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc always takes more time to come together, even this vintage, which was matured in a mix of barrel and tank maturation (rather than a strictly barrel ferment style). It’s more of an airy, passionfruity Wrattonbully Sauvignon Blanc now, with a little bit of creamy barrel character, but it’s hidden in the slightly tropical folds. It’s pleasant, but feels wrapped in tropical fruit without hitting a second gear of complexity as per usual. Worth revisiting next year when it stops being so primary.
