Tumbarumba Pinot Noir is typically a fragrant and lively thing, and this Hungerford Hill Tumbarumba Pinot Noir 2023 fits the stereotype. It’s pretty, if a bit bony, light to medium-bodied, lively, bitter and tannic. The battle here is about whether acidity and tannins overwhelm the red fruit; although the crunchy appeal is certainly there, I just want a bit more ripe fruit to fill out the palate.
