Great Southern Sauvignon Blanc really benefits from a little Semillon to flesh it out, yet the market is led by Sauvignon Blanc. Tricky state of affairs. This, suitably, is a much more impressive wine than its straight Sauvignon Blanc brother.
Open citrus nose with that tint of Semillon hay. A much more substantial wine than the very simple Sauv, the clean
grassy fruits pleasant and melon citrus soft, with pleasant soft fruit. Crisp, lively, a little broad through the middle but tidied up ok through the finish. Respectable.
Drink: 2013-2014
Score: 16/20 87/100
Would I buy it? Not quite.
