That’s a pity methinks as there is promise here. The grapes were picked with loads of natural acidity, even despite the alcohol, and theoretically could have handled much more overt winemaking. Instead, there was no MLF, the wine saw only 30% new oak and spent just 9 months in said barrels, ultimately producing a delicate, yet slightly stunted wine that could have been more impressive if left to its own devices.
