A new look for Brown Brothers
Like the new Brown Brothers labelling?
Introduced – quite sneakily – during a Brown Brothers ‘dinner party’ event tonight, this brand new livery will be seen shortly on all the ‘dry’ Brown Brothers wines, kicking off with a range of 2013 and 2012 whites and reds from what you might call the ‘estate’ range.
As explained by 4th generation Brown family member Katherine Brown, the intention of this updated look is simply to bring the design into the modern era and help the appeal to a key target audience – women 18-40yrs old.
Clearly I’m not a 20 year old woman, so I can’t really comment on whether the design has hit that mark, yet no questioning that it is a big step up.
Thoughts? (Old label below).

Hi AG – Definitely a step up, but into what? These seem to be of a certain style: Yalumba Y series and others (although it is too early for me to name the others, as the caffeine clearly hasn't kicked in yet). Safe bet. Pretty. Improved, but still safely in the generic label category. Not that there is anything wrong with that.
Welcome back dude…!
Thanks!
Speaking of labels – what do you think of the new Lost Block Labels? http://mumbrella.com.au/tyrells-new-labels-picture-story-lost-block-175850
I like but they genuinely don't convey a 'premium wine' message. Though prob don't need to. Or do they?
