‘A modern take on Cowra’, this is sourced from the original, low-yielding estate vineyard planted in 1988.
You can see the effort behind this wine, with a modern emphasis on solids and less obvious oak to build texture. No hiding the peachy and very ripe fruit though, giving this a pine-peach sort of fatness and warmth that lessens the appeal. Sound, well made, but probably a bit too bulky for serious enjoyment. 15/20, 85/100
