Chapel Hill Parsons Nose Cabernet Sauvignon 2012 (McLaren Vale, SA)

Tatsed in a larger blind lineup of Cabernet Sauvignon where sadly it didn’t hold its own – just too full and juicy for that. In isolation though its a solid commercial wine, carrying a ribena-esque plump purple fruit that floods the mid-palate before tapering off into something a little sweet and cumbersome to finish.
Ultimately it does exactly what it sets out to do for sub $20 and many will enjoy the style. Still, a serious, long-term Cabernet it ain’t.
Drink: 2013-2017
Score: 16/20, 87.100
Would I buy it? Not quite.
