Devil’s Lair Hidden Cave Chardonnay 2012

Devil’s Lair Hidden Cave Chardonnay 2012 (Margaret River, WA)
13%, Screwcap, $23

The entry level Chardonnay for Devil’s Lair.

Green melon nose suggests fruit picked early and limited malo/oak. Bright, lemon citrus palate has plenty of acid but just seems a little missing in intensity or real Chardonnay varietal character, save for a kernel of apricot to finish.

Fresh but dull.
