Quite deep colours for a primeur style Pinot Noir – a little violet in there to remind of the youth but all bacon bits and sappy fruit. More Pinot than fruit. Beefy palate suggests more ripeness than delicacy with a hint of haunch. It’s initially sweet fruit but gets mighty meaty real quickly.
For this price and style this looks a bit ferrous and hard and serious. A slightly cooked bottle? Hmm
