Tomich Woodside Vineyard Pinot Noir 2012 (Adelaide HIlls, SA)
13%, Screwcap, $30
I’m not sure if this a recent thing, but there is no sign of the ‘hill’ in Tomich Hill. Tomich from now on? Good packaging though.
Regardless this is pleasant, easy going Pinot Noir at a much more serious price. Blood red in colour, it is plump, juicy and driven by mid palate roundness and little in the way of tannins or a play at serious structure. Rather, it’s just about simple fruit joy, at about $10/bottle more than it should be.

Would I buy it? I’d drink it, but not buy it.
