La Linea Tempranillo Rose 2014
Tempranillo rolls on in all its form, this time an Adelaide Hills Rose from busy wine man (and incidentally the last Australian male to become an MW, not counting Ned Goodwin) David LeMire MW and co.
A quite serious rose it is too. Very pale in colour with a dash of ‘partridge eye’ orange, the style here is all about crunch, the acidity bristling the whole way through the palate, the style as much a white wine as something coming from red grapes. It all makes for a refreshing, lightly berry fruited and quite delicate wine, but perhaps a little too dry to be great.
Still a well made and artful rose from one of the best Tempranillo makers in the country.
