Pizzini Verduzzo 2013
I opened this on Saturday night not expecting much. Yet it was delicious. Refreshing, but more than that. Clever wine.
This plays an interesting role really. It’s almost like Pizzini’s Chardonnay, with a little barrel work and clever lees action to give more weight than the rest of the, largely aromatic, Pizzini white range.

I find the Pizzini wines very reliable (in a good way!) – their Arneis is definitely one of my comfortable fall back options. I'll keep an eye out for this – love seeing Australian producers do things with interesting and new to us grape varieties.
I like their Pinot Grigio too – right up there amongst our best.
