Dainton Family Brewing Co. Insane Uncle IPA

BEER: Dainton Family Brewing Co. Insane Uncle IPA

This comes with a lengthy story about how insane it is. Fun, but the beer isn’t that wild at all.

A blend of Warrior, Columbus, Simcoe, Citra, Mosaic and Galaxy hops. Then Vienna, Light crystal and Caraamber malt. Numbers: IBU 50. Plenty going on here (but no insanity). There is lots of passionfruit on the nose, and some solid, lightly grassy hop bitterness through the middle (but it’s not offensive). In fact, it’s quite even for a hop dominant IPA. Alcohol is only moderate too. Ultimately it’s quite sessionable, without blowing any trumpets. 3.5 stars. 6% alc. No BB date.  Would I buy it? Hmm. I’d drink it but wouldn’t go out of my way for more.
