Soul Growers Soul Sister Barossa Valley Rosé 2016

‘Dedicated to our soul sisters’ which is cool. The colour is lurid pink as well, which is seriously fun. Lurid!

It’s a wine of juiciness. Strawberries and cream lollies on the nose, with a suggestions of residual sugar sweetness in there too. Yet the palate is surprisingly tart, the acidity noticeable for what is a soft, off-dry, generous style.

Pleasant enough, but the balance isn’t quite there for me to really love.

Best drinking: 2016-2017. 16/20, 87/100. 12%, $25. Would I buy it? Not quite.
