Brand’s Laira Old Station Coonawarra Rosé 2016
No idea of the variety here, but it comes in a Riesling bottle. Cabernet is my first guess.
Coppery light orange coloured, this has a whisper of musk, a flash of onions and then a palate that is neautral, just a little hard and driven by acidity. Waiting for something to happen here – it’s ripe and dry, but no generosity in sight. Not quite. Best drinking: 2017-2018. 15.5/20. 85/100. 13.5%. Would I buy it? No.

Thanks for the tasting note Andrew. Why don’t Rosé’s have to have the dominant grape variety on the label?
Cheers, Travis.
It seems odd that there isn’t any mention of the variety. Doesn’t help by omitting it either.
Tried a bottle tonight very disappointed over priced and very little anything to write home about two thumb’s down.
Never a fun feeling to get a dud.
