Stoneleigh Classic Marlborough Pinot Noir 2016

Well priced Stoneleigh Classic Marlborough Pinot Noir 2016

Stoneleigh Classic Marlborough Pinot Noir 2016

Stoneleigh’s ‘standard’ Pinot, and given the price that it can be available for in discount retail, good drinking. Bright brambly raspberry and cranberry fruit here is the star here with a smoky, bacon fat edge. Look, proper Pinot! Slightly spiky palate could do with a bit more stuffing, but this has plenty of Marlborough Pinot character for the dollars.

Best drinking: 2017-2020. 16.5/20, 88/100. 13.5%, $17.99. Would I buy it? I’d go a glass.
