Tucks Ridge Turramurra Chardonnay 2016

Tucks Ridge now has new owners, with Montalto taking over. This Tucks Ridge Turramurra Chardonnay 2016 is one of the single vineyard releases from Tucks, from the Tuerong/Dromana area.

There’s a fullness and a broad edge here that gives volume but arguably without the required acidity. A nutty edge and a creamy leesy richness, the layered and biscuity palate has flavour but also a warmth and fat to finish. Lovers of old school Mornington Chardonay will enjoy this.

Best drinking: Now. It will only get fatter. 17/20, 90/100. 13.8%, $50. Would I buy it? No.
