Tapanappa Piccadilly Valley Chardonnay 2017

Tapanappa Piccadilly Valley Chardonnay 2017

This is the effectively the 3rd wine in the Tapanappa Chardonnay range but it’s hardly a 3rd wine in quality.

Actually, it’s a surprisingly ripe style with a whisper of honeycomb and then fine citrus fruit, then an expressive palate, oak giving an extra hand to lift up the palate. Another quality Tapanappa Chardonnay, if a bit rounder and less defined than the two Tiers wines.

Best drinking: Good now and for at least five years. 17.7/20, 92/100. 13.3%, $39. Would I buy it? I’d drink a bottle, but lay out an extra $16 for the Tiers 1.5m if it was my own dollars.
