More delicious Muscat: Stanton & Killeen Grand Muscat NV

Stanton & Killeen Grand Muscat NV

Following on from the typically delicous Campbells Muscat comes another fine release – this time from vintage fortified specialists Stanton & Killeen.

With Grand Muscat you’re looking at 15-20 years of age, and this is one of the blacker Grands. It’s developed too, with hints of cinnamon and plenty of rancio, the acid notable here, an almost topaque like fish oil edge too. Savoury Muscat, that is less sugar sweet, and with great vinosity. Different and delicious. Best drinking: now (But will last for months open in the fridge. 18.5/20, 94/100. 18.5%, $105. Would I buy it? I’ll have a glass after dinner and think about another one.
