Finally, a serious Australian rosé worth your time. The Freeman family have enviable plantings of Rondinella at their Prunevale vineyard and it’s a grape that seems well suited to textural dry rosé. This Freeman Rondo Rondinella Rosé 2019 balances out perfume, phenolic grip, and then a sense of evenness with a light, vague bitterness that adds an extra layer of drinkability. Drying. Long. Has an x-factor, and I’m here for it. Best drinking: now. 17.7/20. 92/100. 12.8%, $20. Would I buy it? Yes.
