Review: Hill Smith Estate Eden Valley Chardonnay 2018

I don’t get it. This Hill Smith Estate Eden Valley Chardonnay 2018 is wild fermented Eden Valley Chardonnay that spends 6 months in barrel. Clearly the aim is delicacy but even after tasting over 3 days I couldn’t see any flavour. Peach juiciness and acidity but little else. Reminds me of the enjoyment-free unwooded Chardonnay style of the early noughties. Nup. Best drinking: now. 15.8/20, 85/100. 13.5%, $25. Would I buy it? No.
