Review: Hill Smith Estate Sauvignon Blanc 2019

Just a little underwhelmed by these ’19 Hill Smith Estate whites. They all need more ripeness to be convincing. Anyway, this has promise, with a wild ferment and some barrel maturation. Though it ends up as sweaty, grippy citrussy Sauv that tends quickly to firm acidity. Just a bit dour for higher points. Best drinking: now. 16/20, 87/100. 12.5%, $25. Would I buy it? No.
