Galafrey Reserve Riesling 2019

Review: Galafrey Reserve Riesling 2019

From dry grown vines in Mt Barker, this Galafrey Reserve Riesling 2019 is very much a wine for the future.

Tangy, sprightly white with singing grapefruit acidity. Real spritzy power here, all latent grapefruit. It’s not ready, the palate still bound in grapefruit extract. Long though and will just get bigger and better, the price is very impressive given the latent power.

Best drinking: I’d like this as an aged wine. Drink in five years and over twenty. 17.7/20, 92/100+. 12.5%, $25. Galafrey website. Would I buy it? Worth a bottle for the cellar.
