Thorn-Clarke Single Vineyard Selection Malbec 2018

Review: Thorn-Clarke Single Vineyard Selection Malbec 2018

Perhaps the least natural winner of the Thorn-Clarke Single Vineyard Selection range (behind wines like the Shiraz), but what do you expect for a Barossan Malbec? Actually, this Thorn-Clarke Single Vineyard Selection Malbec 2018 is still highly drinkable.

Generous and mulberry, it’s easily attractive with open fruit and coffeed oak. Maybe a little lean and indistinct to finish but a pleasurable mouthful of wine. Pleasant though. Best drinking: now to ten years. 17/20, 90/100. 14.5%, $38. Thorn Clarke website. Would I buy it? A glass.
